The Pierce County Master Gardener Program hosts programs for children aged 3 to 11 years old on Saturdays throughout the summer. All children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families are welcome to attend the programs together to learn about the wonderful world of gardening!
Register at the Puyallup Demonstration Garden at 9:45 AM on the day of the event. Activities begin at 10:00 AM. All programs are free and last approximately 1½ hours. Two session are offered on June 29—see description for details.

May 18: Frogs & Toads
Everyone loves these little critters. Come and learn abou them.

June 1: Ready, Set, Grow
Learn how to prepare the garden for planting. Then do some planting both in the garden and to take home.

June 15: Growing a Rainbow
ROYGBIV—Explore all the colors you can grow.

June 29: Fairies & Gnomes
Make a fanciful dish garden to take home.
There will be two sessions—at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Pre-registration is required beginning June 22 via email (pcmgyouthprogram@gmail.com. Choose only the one time you wish to attend.

July 13: Weird & Wonderful Plants
Strange and unique plants that eat insects, protect themselves with thorns, are pollinated by mammals, and more…

July 27: Spirals in Nature
Explore the spirals that occur in nature—rivers, snails, even sunflowers.

August 10: Scarecrows
Make a friend for your garden! You can enter your scarecrow in the contest at the Washington State Fair.

August 24: Our Garden Celebration
Come celebrate all of the wonderful parts of our garden at out end of the year party.
