Have We Got Tomatoes?
Every year we grow over 50 varieties of tomatoes from seed. You will find beefsteak, roma, cherry, grape, current, slicing, paste and heirloom varieties. Almost 3,500 starts to choose from. We also have a wide variety of other food plants, including herbs, rhubarb, asparagus and blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
Need Vegetable Starts?
From Arugula to zucchini, we will have vegetable starts for sale. Lettuce, onions, kale, peppers, you name it, we probably have it. Also a wide variety of herbs: sage, oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme varieties, tarragon, chives, lavender and more. We have both annual and perennial herbs.
How About Native Plants?
Native plants are used to our wet winters and dry summers. If you are thinking of adding some to your yard, we have plants for both sun or shade. Hummingbirds love red-flowering current bushes. Bees flock to salal and mock orange shrubs. Native bleeding hearts, false Solomon’s seal and trilliums bring spring to the shade garden. We have plants that like shade instead of sun, coral bells, Solomon’s seal and fuchsias. Ferns lover our climate. We have a variety, including sword ferns, autumn ferns, lady ferns, deer ferns, Japanese painted ferns and more. We have a hostas from tiny miniatures to giant size varieties.
We Have Shade Lovers too!
We have a number of groundcovers for most conditions, dry and sunny, moist and sunny, or moist and shady, even some for dry shade. Hen and chicks, sedums, stonecrop, ajuga, Irish moss, ginger and oxalis all work well in the right conditions.
We have both annual and perennial flowers for sun, especially yarrow, shasta daisies, cone flower, day lilies, irises, penstemons, salvias and black-eyed susans. For shade, we have astilbes, fuchsias, impatiens, and begonias.
